On May 28, 2024, MIRA, Dixon Hall Centre, and sMAP hosted the Tech 4 Life Fair community outreach event at Dixon Hall in Toronto.
The event featured demonstrations by sMAP student trainees to help people age well. At the Tech Drop-In Booth, students helped visitors with any tech challenges such as cellphone technical assistance, how to fill out online forms, artificial intelligence, and ChatGPT. Attendees also tried out motion-capture video and other fun technology such as the Nintendo Wii.
