Abstract: This talk explores how AI-enhanced radar technology can revolutionize healthcare in long-term care (LTC) facilities. ElephasCare, an AI-driven platform, utilizes non-invasive radar sensors to autonomously monitor LTC residents’ daily activities while maintaining privacy and improving health outcomes.
Bio: Dr. Hajar Abedi is the co-founder and Chief Science Officer at GoldSentintel, where she leads the development of AI-powered radar solutions aimed at enhancing quality of life and healthcare, particularly for seniors. She earned her PhD from the University of Waterloo, Canada, and has over six years of experience in radar development, specializing in integrating AI with millimeter-wave radar technology. With more than 60 papers and patents, and multiple international awards, she is also the IEEE AP-S Young Professional Ambassador for 2025.
